On December 13, academician Mao Ming, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chief designer of the 99A main battle tank was invited to lecture on the course "Introduction to Technology" entitled "Introduction to Tank Technology Development" the students. 2022 Future Technology students and Xu Teli School students listened to the report online.

Academician Mao Ming talked about the concept and connotation of tank technology science and explained the brief history and trend of tank technology development, as well as the key scientific issues in tank development.  Introduce the main characteristics of mainstream new tanks through a large number of pictures and text materials, combined with the performance of tanks in actual combat, it exemplifies that tanks, as indispensable main battle equipment in land combat, still have the status of "king of land warfare".

Finally, Academician Mao placed great expectations on the students present and hoped that the students would carry forward the great scientific spirit, strengthen technical and scientific thinking, digital thinking and systematic thinking, broaden their horizons, seek truth and be pragmatic, unite and cooperate, shoulder heavy responsibilities bravely, and work hard.  On the basis of learning the knowledge of mechanization, electrification and general quality characteristics, improve the knowledge, skills and abilities of digitalization, informatization and intelligence, accelerate the growth of talents, and lead the development direction of world science and technology!

Li Yunhao from Class 2221: This afternoon, we invited Academician Mao Ming, a leader in China's weapons industry and the designer of the 99A main battle tank, to explain all aspects of the tank to us.  Academician Mao Ming introduced us in detail to the scientific connotation of tank technology, tank composition, development history and trends, etc. with clear logic and humorous language.  Content such as quality and the mission of scientific and technological workers inspire us to keep moving forward.

Wang Jiaming, Class 2222: In this section of the Technology Introduction class, Academician Mao Ming introduced tank technology and science to us. It not only enhanced our understanding of the development of tank science in our country with accurate data and vivid examples but also cultivated our understanding of tank science.  Our interest in technology has deepened our understanding of technology and science and inspired our ideals, beliefs and patriotism to devote ourselves to the military industry and dedicate ourselves to serving the country.
